While wintery weather is visiting us in Pittsburgh, we're doing our best to keep warm. The Legacy Arts Project hosts and joins weekly classes at Sankofa Village for the Arts that are open to youth and elders alike. Closing in on the second month of the new year, the LAP will take its turn as the featured organization as a part of the Heinz Endowments' "Spotlight". Check us out on Feb. 16th to see what's going on with the LAP. We'll be sure to forward you a link to the website.

Keep warm and be safe!

MLK Day Celebration!

The life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stands as a testament to the undying power of peace and perseverance and the Legacy Arts Project, in conjunction with the Sankofa Village for the Arts, commemorated his birthday with a mural to honor his legacy.
"The children are our future. We must teach them so they know which way to go." said resident artist, Saihou Njie.
All in attendance contributed to the mural which will be on display at Sankofa Village upon its completion.
