It's been 5 years since the Ujamaa Collective began as a means for women artisans of African descent to be self-determining in establishing self-sufficiency. Since that time, many accomplishments have been achieved. However, in order to continue its progress, the Ujamaa Collective is hosting an evening celebration entitled, 'Black Star', to launch a consumer cooperation campaign. "Cooperation Over Competition" is a way for contributors to support Ujamaa and to receive discounts at the Boutique by making a $100 donation to the campaign.
