The Legacy Arts Project and Ujamaa Collectives Presents
The 2026 African Wellness Conference is a vibrant gathering rooted in healing, culture, and community. Hosted at the Community Empowerment Association and Homewood YMCA, we bring together holistic practitioners, wellness vendors, families, and change-makers for a full day of learning, movement, and connection. Attendees will enjoy nourishing breakfast and lunch, inspiring plenary sessions, and embodied movement classes designed to restore and energize the body. Youth activities happening throughout the morning ensure the whole family is welcomed and cared for. From meaningful conversations to hands-on experiences, this conference is a celebration of African-centered wellness practices that honor mind, body, spirit, and community.
Join The Legacy Arts Project and Ujamaa Collective for a day of community, connection, and healing at the 2025 Africana Wellness Conference! This free event will be held on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and will feature:

Wellness workshops and demonstrations led by experienced presenters
Vendor marketplace with unique items and resources
Giveaways, performances, and maker tables
Morning Yoga session and a Harambee Unity Circle
Focus groups on protecting Black women, a special project led by our CMU intern, Haley Wilson
This conference is your opportunity to pause, reflect, and embrace the power of wellness in the present moment. Open to all, we welcome you to explore the many ways to nurture your mind, body, and spirit while celebrating Africana arts and culture.
