Our Guest Artist Series goes beyond a single class — it enriches both Legacy and the community. Artists from near and far share their expertise, giving attendees professional-level instruction, creative inspiration, and the chance to collaborate directly with accomplished artists. These collaborations strengthen Legacy’s teaching artists, foster meaningful partnerships, and create a foundation for future projects and community-driven programs. All sessions feature live drumming, enhancing the connection between movement, music, and everyone involved.

Guest Artists:

Danielle Howard is a Pittsburgh-based actor, choreographer, dancer, teacher, and singer, whose artistry is rooted in stage, movement, and community. A graduate of CAPA High School and California University of Pennsylvania (Theatre major, Psychology minor), she has performed across theatre, film, and fashion, including Black Nativity, DanceAfrica, FashionAFRICANA 2025, Kim El’s Suga and Soul with HDAT, and choreographed for the women’s conference It’s Time to Get Up. She was also a member of the NMP: The No More Project performing arts company and appeared in their film Life OnStage. 

A lifelong dancer, Danielle blends Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, African dance, liturgical movement, and Latin-infused styles. She has taught and directed children’s summer camps at Hosanna House and The Legacy Arts Project, mentoring young artists, and is deeply connected to Homewood and the greater Pittsburgh arts community through her work.

Nick M. Daniels is a Pittsburgh-based choreographer, multimedia artist, and founding Artistic Director of The D.A.N.A. Movement Ensemble (Dancers Against Normal Actions), a company launched in 1991 to challenge societal norms through movement. A graduate of Slippery Rock University with a BFA in Dance, Daniels is recognized as a Pittsburgh Cultural Treasure and a pioneer in exploring themes of race, sexuality, and identity through performance. After a 20-year hiatus, Daniels returned in 2016 with a bold, socially charged vision. His work blends African, modern, contemporary, and Butoh dance with electronic soundscapes, video projection, and theater to create immersive experiences that spark dialogue. Supported by awards and residencies, including the Kelly Strayhorn Theater FRESHWORKS Residency and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, his work has been performed nationally and internationally, with new projects in 2026 across Europe, Central and South America.

LaTrea Rembert is a Pittsburgh-based artist and educator, originally from Cincinnati, OH. A 2014 graduate of Point Park University with a BA in Theater Arts, he has performed with Pittsburgh CLO, City Theatre, Pittsburgh Public Theater, Quantum Theatre, The REP, PICT, Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company, and The Classical Theatre of Harlem (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, 2024). He currently serves as an adjunct professor of dance at Point Park University and is on faculty at the CLO Academy and The Academy of Dance by Lori.

Kontara Morphis is a Pittsburgh-based choreographer and Artistic Director of Kontara Morphis Dance Collective. Her work is known for being emotionally resonant and visually striking, and she collaborates with numerous arts organizations throughout the region. She recently produced and directed UNDERLAND x Alice at the New Hazlett Theater as part of the 2023–2024 CSA Performance Series and choreographed both the models and a dance work for Fashion Africana, produced by FashionAFRICANA, at Heinz Hall.
